The Journal of Koreanology Reviews (JKR) publishes original research and reviews that address the various issues regarding history of the Korean people. As an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to contemporary issues of Koreanology, various studies on Koreanology on political and cultural history, economic history, social and cultural history, business development history, language and literature history, religions and philosophy history, war history, Hallyu and customs history, science history, as well as architecture and clothing history are invited for publication consideration.
JKR은 한국과 한국인의 역사와 문화에 대한 접점을 가지는 학술연구를 게재하는 국제 학술지입니다. 한국학 및 한국의 정치, 문화, 경제사, 역사, 언어, 문학, 종교, 철학, 전쟁사, 한류, 과학사, 건축사, 의복 등 여러 분야에 걸친 연구를 다루고 있습니다.
JKR was founded in 2020 by Korea Distribution Science Association Foundation(KODISA Foundation), which has the most number of academic journals among scholarly communities and associations in Korea. The aim of the journal is to bring together the latest theoretical and empirical advances, welcoming scholarly articles from researchers, practitioners, and scholars throughout the world. The journal publishes semi-annual issues in June 30 and December 30, respectively.
JKR은 2020년 국내 학계에서 가장 많은 학술지를 발간하고 있는 재단법인 KODISA Foundation에 의해 발간되었습니다. JKR의 목표는 세계의 연구자, 실무자, 학자들이 집필한 최신 이론적/실증적 발전을 널리 알리는 것입니다. 이를 위해 매 년 6월 30일 / 12월 30일 두 차례 논문집을 발간하고 있습니다.
Three types of contributions will be given consideration for publication in JKR:
- Research Articles: Research Articles should contain new and significant finding(s) resulting through scientific investigation, where the applied research methods should explained in details so that replication is feasible for others to verify the work. These should be between approximately 5,000 and 7,000 words. All Research Articles are peer-reviewed by a minimum of 3 referees.
- Short Communications: Short Communications are suitable for timely communication of small-scale empirical investigations, new methods and/or research models, or innovative methods or techniques applied for Koreanology research. The style does not need to conform to that of full-length Research Articles. These should be between approximately 2,000 and 4,000 words and are peer-reviewed.
- Review (Perspective) Articles: Review Articles based on authors’ perspectives relevant to topics of current interest are also welcome and encouraged for submission. These should be concise and between approximately 2,000 and 4,000 words.
JKR에 게재 가능한 원고의 형태는 다음과 같습니다:
- 연구논문: 재현할 수 있는, 과학적인 조사방법을 이용한 연구로 연구방법이 상세히 설명되어야 함. (5,000 ~ 7,000 단어 사이, 최소 3명의 심사자)
- 연구단신: 소형 실증연구 또는 새로운 방법/연구모형, 혁신적인 기법 등의 시의적절한 게재를 위해 적합한 유형. (2.000 ~ 4,000 단어 사이, 심사 필요)
- 연구요약: 저자의 시각을 기술한 유형 (2,000 ~ 4,000 단어 사이)
Article Processing Charges and Fees (APCs) [논문 게재비]:
- For a limited time, JKR will waiver the APCs for the authors
JKR은 한시적으로 논문 게재료를 면제함
- 국내저자는 논문 1편당 연구비 30만원 지원함
Open Access Policy
JKR will permit authors to use the article freely after publication, including posting of the final version of the manuscript on author’s personal web page, in institutional repositories maintained by institutions to which the author is affiliated, in other works or uses pertinent to authors’ teaching and research, provided that acknowledgement is given to JKR as the original source. JKR and KODISA Foundation apply the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) to published works in order to facilitate open access – namely, free immediate access to, and unrestricted reuse of, original works of all types. Under this license, authors agree to make articles legally available for reuse, without permission or fees, for virtually any purpose. Anyone may copy, distribute or reuse these articles, as long as the author and original source are properly cited.
JKR은 오픈 액세스 방침을 채택하고 있습니다. 게재된 연구 결과물에 대해 원 출처 및 인용을 전제로 자유로운 재사용 및 배포를 허용합니다.
